Plan your visit

1. Schedule your appointment
  • We see patients on an appointment basis. Please call our office and we'd be happy to assist you

  • If you think you are expereincing an emergency, please call our office so we may best instruct on how to proceed.

  • Plan ahead! Due to increased need for veterinary care, our next available appointment may be in 2-3 weeks.

2. What to bring
  • Previous veterinary records! Please bring all relevant medical history from other clinics (such as vaccine certificates, recent bloodwork, and doctors notes). This allows your new veterinarian to provide you and your pet with uninterrupted and consistent care.

  • A leash or carrier. To ensure safety for your pet and and the safety of others, all dogs must be on a leash and all cats in a carrier in our clinic and parking lot.

3. Arriving at the Kona clinic
  • Call to check in (808-325-6637). Please remain in your car and check in with a reception on the phone. Let them know your pet's name and where you are parked.

  • We are currently operating a modified curbside system. After checking in, please wait inside the comfort of your car, and a technician will personally escort you inside when your doctor is ready. Most regularly scheduled appointments will be accommodated in an exam room. Technician appointments, recheck appointments, work-in and emergencies will be seen as curbside appointments, unless a room becomes available. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation, as this method allows us to help as many patients as possible and decrease wait times.

   Arriving at the Waikoloa clinic
  • Check in with the front desk. We welcome you to walk into the clinic and check in with our receptionist.

  • We are currently offering in-room appointments. All doctor's appointments are seen in-room. Patients presenting for Technician's Appointments will be brought to the treatment room for treatments.

What is a curbside appointment?

During a curbside appointment, the patient (pet) is brought into the treatment room for exam and treatments, while the client (owner) waits in their vehicle. The doctor will come outside to discuss medical options and plan from the comfort of your car.

Curbside appointments allows us to see more patients and complete treatments, even when an exam room is not available.
